NATIVE FORESTS OFFSET CARBON EMISSIONS

AND PROMOTE NATURAL BIODIVERSITY

There are an estimated
3.04 trillion trees growing on the planet. Collectively they capture billions of tons of CO2
every year.

TRILLIONS

PLANET EARTH

BY THE NUMBERS

Tens of thousands of native plant and animal species of the Earth's natural forests are critically endangered and in need of urgent conservation action.

THOUSANDS

Since 1990,

1.37 billion acres of natural forest have been lost through conversion to other land uses.

BILLIONS

Each native plant species is home to dozens of unique native insects and other microfauna.

Collectively, millions

of species depend on native plants for

their survival.

OUR MISSION

Native Forests is a non-profit environmental conservation organization focused on biodiversity and climate change. We help reforest wild lands by planting native trees and plants that absorb carbon dioxide from the air and promote natural biodiversity.

OUR VISION

The two biggest environmental threats facing the Earth today are global warming and loss of biodiversity. NativeForests.org addresses both crises with a simple solution: donor funded reforestation of wild lands with the native trees and shrubs of the region. Native plants support a diverse web of millions of unique species that cannot thrive on the non-native vegetation which often invades wild lands after forest fires and clear cutting.

HELP NATIVEFORESTS.ORG OFFSET CARBON EMISSIONS

BY REFORESTATION WITH NATIVE TREES AND PLANTS.

HERE'S WHAT YOU CAN DO:

  • Facebook
  • Twitter
  • YouTube
  • Instagram

USE THIS CARBON CALCULATOR TO ESTIMATE YOUR CO2 EMISSIONS AND MAKE A PLEDGE TO DIRECTLY OFFSET THEM WITH NATURAL REFORESTATION PROJECTS.

Each $20 pledge supports the planting AND long-term protection

of at least one native tree in global reforestation projects.

On average, each native tree will naturally remove 2.5 tons of CO2 from

the atmosphere over the next 100 years.

We focus on planting long-lived, native trees that will typically live

for hundreds of years.

PLANNING A TRIP?

WHAT CAN WE DO?

100% of your financial contribution will be used to protect and repopulate native forests

MAKE A PLEDGE

Your commitment of time for helping Native Forests can make a massive impact.
